Fish Fest

Fish Fest 2019

Fish Fest began back in the spring of 2005. The directors at the time, Cassy Garcia & Greg Fink, saw a need to unite the freshman class with their own tradition and planned an evening of free food and music followed by a movie. Originally called N.U.T.S., or Night Under The Stars, this event looks different every year, depending on the wants of the class and the leadership of the freshman class officer team and event directors. Typically, the freshman class has gotten to enjoy free food, games, live bands, and more! In more recent years, the name has changed to Fish Fest and has been held in Kyle Field Plaza.

Fish Fest is the official freshman class tradition. It strives to celebrate and unite the class as they transition into their sophomore year. Coordinated primarily by freshmen directors selected from Fish Council, working with their respective Fish Co. committees, this event remains by freshmen, for freshmen.
